The National Curriculum is so packed, schools have to move at a fast pace to get through all the content. This means that many children do not always grasp the building blocks for learning and can lose their confidence in learning. I can help your child by finding the barriers to their learning, ensure the building blocks are in place, and support them to find their confidence and love of learning.
MY STORY
First and foremost I am a mum to an amazing 17 year old. Together with the dog and my partner, we love long walks, touring in the campervan and cake stops.
I started out as an instrumental teacher working both privately and with music centres teaching individuals and ensembles. I qualified as a secondary Music teacher in 2004 and spent 8 years as Head of Music teaching KS3-5. I then spent 2 years in a Middle School teaching a range of subjects to years 5-8, before moving to Primary. Whilst a primary school teacher I taught in all year groups from nursery to Year 6 before specialising in KS1. Between May 2023 and June 2025 I worked in Private Nursery and ran the rising 2s room.
Since June 2025 I have been running Strong Foundations Tuition full time.
